HOW WE

WORK

LINEBORING

Line boring is the process where the inside diameter of existing worn bores are reduced by means of welding and then machined back to original equipment manufacturer specifications, making the centrelines of two or more bores collinear. Collinear bores appear in several large machine components such as excavator booms, sticks and buckets, dump truck bowls, gearboxes, presses. Precision alignment is of utmost importance on these machines, which is why line boring is commonly used to repair multiple collinear worn bores. Mobile line boring services are becoming the preferred service chosen by clients due to the high transport and road freight permit costs of large machine components.

SUPPLY

The supply of pins and bushes will typically be supplied on planned maintenance. A lead time of 2 weeks is required to manufacture, harden and do final machining on pins and bushes.

REPAIRS

Repairs on structural elements of the machine will be repaired in our workshop. All factors will be considered by our team before we will continue with repairs. All repair panel/sections will be drawn up CNC laser cut and CNC bent. All repair panels/ sections will be fabricated using equivalent material. All welding is conducted by coded welding artisans. NDE’s will be performed on all the weld seams to ensure as top quality product.
